On September 6th, hosted by the Organizing Committee of the China International Digital Economy Expo and organized by the Intellectual Property Working Committee of the China International Association for Promotion of Science and Technology and Hebei Zhiwei Cultural Media Co., Ltd., the Digital Frontier Technology Forum with the theme of “Digits Create a Better Future” was held at the Shijiazhuang (Zhengding) International Convention and Exhibition Center. At the forum, experts and scholars exchanged cutting-edge viewpoints in the field of digital technology, calling on all sectors of society to jointly create a vibrant digital economy and create a better future through digital technology.

Zhang Ping, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, director of the State Key Laboratory of Network and Switching Technology, and a wireless mobile communication expert, said that China has done a good job in 5G system manufacturing, terminal manufacturing, and integrated applications, and is now moving towards 6G. He believes that 6G is mainly used to achieve intelligence. Due to the limitations of chip processing capabilities in single machine computing, it is difficult to support humanoid cognition and learning in mobile terminals such as robots. Zhang Ping believes that the future communication technology is to comprehensively integrate computing, communication, and control, achieve intelligence in all things, reach digital twin and digital survival.

Zhang Ping analyzed that industrial development still faces significant challenges when facing the era of large computing power. The difficulty and cost of large-scale computing power acquisition are high, and the development model has a high threshold and technical difficulty, which cannot meet the needs of the era of high computing power. Facing the future, Zhang Ping suggests strengthening the research and support of digital core technology for industrial applications, emphasizing information infrastructure, achieving large platform support, focusing on international standards work, pushing forward industrial ecological construction, and establishing extensive industrial alliances.

Chen Shiqing, a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, has been committed to researching brain computers in recent years. Chen Shiqing believes that brain like computing has broad development prospects, and combining the intelligence and plasticity of the human brain with the efficient computing of computers can help humans better manage themselves. He introduced that in the field of intelligent medicine, the use of brain science and artificial intelligence is expected to achieve "unpredictability", early diagnosis of diseases, and early non-invasive treatment. In the field of intelligent education, it is expected to enable people to know their areas of expertise as soon as possible, choose more suitable job positions, and promote the high-quality structure of social employment and the improvement of the quality of employees.

Chen Shiqing hopes to combine brain science with AI, achieve brain machine integration, utilize the innovative ability of the human brain and the speed of AI, and create artificial intelligence that belongs to everyone. The best human-computer interaction in the future is to entrust heavy and complex tasks to artificial intelligence, and then use brain computer fusion technology to focus the human brain on thinking and innovation.

Yang Zhiming, a special researcher at the State Council Counselor’s Office and President of the China Association for Labor Studies, stated that it is the need to update the concept of human resource services and accelerate innovation in digital empowerment of human resource development. He introduced that there are three trend changes in the current development of human resources in China. Firstly, the demand is shifting from quantity oriented to digital quality oriented. Secondly, the supply is shifting from unlimited supply to limited supply. Thirdly, a large number of new generations are joining modern service new formats such as express delivery, home services, platform services, and marketing services.

Yang Zhiming believes that whoever gathers digital economy talents first will have the opportunity for high-quality development. In the era of widespread use of artificial intelligence technology, efforts should be made to create transparent production, digital factories, and intelligent enterprises, and accelerate the iterative upgrading of intelligent manufacturing for "happy enterprises".
